Soo Line EMD FP7 No. 502-A sits on a whisker track at the railroad’s roundhouse at Shoreham in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in September 1984. At this time Soo Line kept four F units handy for winter snowplow service—note the not-so-neatly-applied “winterization” using duct tape and other materials quickly located in the roundhouse.
