A Fading Warbonnet. Once part of the proud return of the "Warbonnet" paint scheme in the 1990's, ATSF 95's iconic part scheme is starting to show its age and the harshness of the desert environment. On this cool, winter morning in Barstow, CA, the veteran F45 is seen catching some sun as it sits amidst the rest of the Western American Railroad Museum's (WARM) collection. This unit in particular had an interesting four-days in its active carrier - when it traveled from Los Angeles to Bakersfield and return behind the newly restored Santa Fe 3751 steam locomotive in 1991.
