      Remarks & Notes
COVID-19 Reduced Service - On Tuesday, March 24, Amtrak's Pacific Surfliners began operating on a reduced service schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under this new schedule, Pacific Surfliner service has been reduced from 13 trains each way per weekday to just six, and no trains operate north of Goleta (to San Luis Obispo). On the fourth day of this new schedule, the second southbound train of the day – and the first southbound that originated in Goleta – train 768, is just about stopped at the Santa Ana Transportation Center. At this station, just two passengers will get off the train and only two passengers will board. CDTX SC-44 "Charger" 2116 is leading this train, heading to San Diego. On the rear of this six-car train is AMTK P42DC 79. (Santa Ana, California – March 27, 2020)
