Working a special run by Steam Incorporated from Dunedin to Invercargill, 1102 leads DG 772 at the start of a horseshoe curve. 1102 was built by English Electric Rocklea works in Queensland in 1966 and bought by Diesel Traction Group in 1989. Finally, after years of restoration work, the return to mainline was marked by a series of railfan specials with 772.
