| DJ 1221 leads DI 1102 and DG 772 on a special Dunedin to Middlemarch. The preserved station precinct at Middlemarch is now the end of rails for the Otago Central Line which closed beyond in 1990 and is now a world renown cycle trail. The DJ class were built by Mitsuibishi in 1968-69 and were a mainstay of branch lines such as this up until the late 1980s. |
