Five pack of fast forties: A westbound van train has arrived in Cheyenne and is cut away from their train in order to make a pickup. The power is five of the 8000 series "fast forty" SD40-2s that Union Pacific had geared for 80mph. The units frequently ran with the 6900 series Centennials. That it must have been a typical windy day in Wyoming is evidenced by the tumbleweed lodged upon No.3 track.
