Remarks & Notes

English Electric duo DG 772 and DI 1102 were both bought in 1980s and restored by Diesel Traction Group. The special seen here was celebrating the return to mainline running for 1102 and run by Steam Incorporated using carriages from the leased Marlborough Flyer train. The train returning to Christchurch is seen at Waianakarua near Hampden.
