| St. Maries River Railroad SW1200 number 501 pulls a cut of finished wood products out of the Stimson Lumber company just to the east of St. Maries Idaho. The 501 was built in December of 1954 as Milwaukee Road 612. Over 65 years after it was built the 501 is still earning its keep on its home rails. The St. Maries River Railroad operates on one of the last stretches of the Milwaukee Road's Pacific Coast Extension west of eastern Montana. |
