| Former Lake Superior & Ishpeming 2-8-0 #18 is running for the first time on San Luis & Rio Grande (former Denver & Rio Grande Western) trackage east of La Veta through the Cucharas River valley. Not only is this the locomotive's first trip on these rails, this is the first time steam has been east of La Veta in around 50 years. This was a bad luck camera trip for me, as the shutter died on my DSLR, and film jammed on my backup film camera. I managed to rescue the film with these results. A Trains Unlimited charter. |
