Remarks & Notes

Ja 1271 was built by Hillside in Dunedin and restored and re-entered service for Steam Inc in 1997. Steam specials were are feature of Napier's annual Art Deco festival for many years but the fire hazard has been too high in recent years. This was an empty train working from Napier station back to the depot.
