| CN has assigned a number of horsepower payback BNSF and UP AC units to northeastern Minnesota on the former DM&IR. Here two BNSF units power a crude (unprocessed) ore train dumping at the Fairlane processing plant of United Taconite. Normally pairs of CN C40-8s handle these trains. HP payback units are also handling limestone trains out of Duluth. |
