| As four EMD's were giving their all pulling a loaded stone train up the grade in Lewis Run, Pennsylvania, the train came to a slow halt right in front of me as it stalled on the grade. The crew shoved back after another stall on the second attempt and made a run for it on a third and made it part way up the grade before a locked axle on lead unit 5020 prevented another attempt. Eventually the crew taxied to Mount Jewett to take power from a coal train there and bring it back to drag the stone over the hill. |
