Until 2012, the upper level trains, with a metric width, belonged to FEVE company. Since then they are managed by Renfe, the company that operates the lower level Commuters too. But for rail fans, those metric gauge trains still continue to be considered as part of FEVE. The upper level train was in charge of a Santander-Bilbao regional service and the lower Iberian gauge train was in charge of a Bilbao-Santurce service.
