Westbound train NJT 877 is seen here using all Metro-North equipment (except for the first car) for its run to Hackettstown. The cab car is MNCW 6708 (Comet V Cab Car). The leader was originally built for NJ Transit as F40PH-2 NJT 4115 (later upgraded to F40PH-2CAT). It was sold to Metro-North and rebuilt into F40PH-3C MNCW 4911 in 2012.
Two rapid transit lines, PATCO and PATH, take commuters to Philadelphia and New York, respectively. Metro North locomotives and rolling stock often show up on NJ Transit northern lines and SEPTA terminates routes in Trenton and West Trenton.
