Soo Line SW1 320 at the Oshkosh Engine House in January 1973. This SW1 was built in September 1939 and worked for the Soo Line until November 1978 when it was sold to Great Lakes Coal and Dock. It was eventually sold to Independent Locomotive Services who painted back to it's as-delivered black scheme. ILS donated this unit to the Lake Superior Railroad Museum in Duluth. The 320 was the only SW1 on the Soo Line. This photo shows the trademark Soo Line "Winterization" with tape covering every place cold air could get into the cab. George Horna Photo from my Collection.
