Remarks & Notes

Led by a single former GOT/CN GP40TC, Amtrak's Hoosier State is seen headed south on the former PRR Panhandle on its way toward Indianapolis. Running 4x/week on days when The Cardinal did not operate, the Hoosier State oftentimes was used to shuttle equipment needing repair to Amtrak's Beech Grove shops. This train is no different, with a Vista Dome on the head end. Tom Golden photo.
