WC 6621 leads a freight with Canadian lumber on the front of the train into North Fond du Lac's Shop Yards. By 1997 WC had develpoed a close relationship with Canadian National which would lead to CN acquiring the railroad in 2001. Meantime, the WC SD45s looked as good as any while enjoying a no doubt extended life span. Trailing unit 6552 appears to have former Santa Fe silver trucks on it. WC 6621 was built as Santa Fe no. 5608 in May 1969. The 6552 started life as SOU 3127, built in Nov. 1967 as a high short hood unit.
