In the late afternoon, a Santa Fe local sits on the railway’s Fourth District in Tustin, California. GP35 3308 is busy switching industries near the Marine Corps Air Station Tustin. MCAS Tustin, opened in 1942, is the site of two massive blimp hangars, landmarks in this part of Orange County since World War II. ATSF 3308 was built as ATSF 1308 in February 1964. (Tustin, California – January 27, 1977)
