Remarks & Notes

A pair of Southern Pacific SD40T-2s shove hard on the rear of an eastbound UP manifest climbing toward Donner summit at Soda Springs, CA. Both units were appropriately filthy. SP 8232 is a late "Roseville Repaint" with simple "SP" stenciling on the sides of the long hood and no wings on the sides of the low nose.
