Remarks & Notes

The "Clinchfield 676" at dawn on the Friday of the 50th anniversary Santa Claus Special weekend. Two items were on the agenda- fix the twisted running board (above the fireman's side front cylinder) and wye the engine. The first task was completed, but the 4-10-0 pedestal tender wasn't able to negotiate the wye, so the engine had to be pulled backwards to Shelbiana, KY, after dark.
