A southbound Willamette Valley Railway train departs Silverton on Presidents Day 1997. WVR had purchased the line from Union Pacific the previous year, so the old Southern Pacific mileposts were replaced with new ones reflecting the mileage from the UP interchange in Woodburn. This trackage is now out of service.
