Springer Sag
Having just met the eastbound Amtrak #4, BNSF 4093 departs the Springer siding and begins the slog up from the Cimaron River Bridge (hidden by the train) towards Las Vegas. For the next few miles the undulating territory varies and makes the engineer work for their paycheck... though this freight hogger is not constrained by the schedule that Amtrak keeps here, meaning he's not gonna have to work as hard as the passenger crews to keep the train rolling. |
