In the spring of 2000, I was on a class trip in which we visited Union Station to eat dinner. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take some snapshots of one of Amtrak's busiest terminals.
At the time, little did I know that in just a few years I'd end up spending a lot more time in that terminal, and working with the 951. 15 years later I'd witness the end of the line for this locomotive, scrapped after a long career.
