| Weekend closures of the LIRR's mainline have become a regular occurrence as the railroad continues its third track expansion project. During these shutdowns, shuttle service between Hicksville and Babylon have provided a detour for east-end riders to and from New York City. One such train is seen here eastbound for Babylon at Wellwood siding on the Central Branch, where an MP15AC is spending the weekend in protect service. |
