Tennessee Valley Railroad train No 300 is coming around the curve now on the Norfolk Southern's side of the old Central Of Georgia CR&S line. The CR&S is the Chattanooga, Rome & Southern Railroad which was formed out of a reorganization of the Chattanooga, Rome and Columbus Railroad in 1897. The Chattanooga, Rome and Columbus Railroad was purchased Central of Georgia in 1901. Today what's left of the Chattanooga, Rome & Southern is split in town, the northern most section of the route id owned and operated by Norfolk Southern which served industries throughout the Rossville, Clifton Hill area, and connect with the old TAG Railroad, and portion of the N&C branch via of Alton Park. From the State-line south of the end of the line at Lyerly, GA the route is own by the State of Georgia, and is leased to the G&W-Chattooga & Chickamauga Railway.
