Remarks & Notes

The CN did alot of work on Steelton Hill which included a double track project that was done in 2016. Here we have a 101 car loaded sand train down to 14 mph as they fight the 2% grade out of the Superior Valley. The train is working north to Canada from a Wisconsin sand plant in a 2x1 DP setup. On the back is 3 Dash 9 helpers pounding hard to get this weight up this mountain grade.

Coal and steel don't go bad. This album features long, slow, heavy freight trains; drag freights, slop freights, dead freights, etc. Trains with lots of power, and lots of different cargo slogging along behind.
