Remarks & Notes

In 1983 CN was working closely with Milwaukee Road which its GTW subsiduary was trying to acquire. Here a MILW SD40-2 handles a westbound freight into Symington Yards near Dufresne, MB on CN's mainline from Ft. Francis, ON to Winnipeg. MILW went to Soo Line in 1985, ultimately becoming a component of Canadian Pacific.
