| Back in 2006 we have an eastbound crawling along into New Hampton. If a guy had to stop to get the west siding switch at New Hampton back normal, then you were in a for a fight to get going again. The engineer has the sanders going and the coal burning as he trys to keep traction with his 4-40's. New Hampton siding was the only meeting spot for many many years in the 117 miles between Mason City and Marquette until the IC&E built the siding at Ossian. New Hampton is 70 miles west of Marquette. |
