History being made. The first train makes it's way through the Thistle Tunnel. The men are able to sit back and admire their hard work for a minute. With the Rio Grande main line out of service. The Thistle Tunnel and realignment, weren't built at a leisurely pace. A lot of man hours and money was thrown at getting the main open again. It had to of been a proud moment for these worker's. Another gem in my dad Tom Ellis photo's.
