CSX southbound unit ethanol train K471 emerges in notch 8 from the Elkhorn City tunnel and crosses pool point trestle. The fall colors are ablaze as the unit train starts the long climb through the breaks on a beautiful fall morning. The sun had just risen enough to illuminate the bridge in time for the train to be bathed in the golden sunlight. We'd follow this train all the way south to Chestoa at the border with North Carolina. A beautiful day spent along the Clinchfield.
