Remarks & Notes

Wisconsin Central hauled a substantial volume of rock from Sussex, WI to the Chicago area using short "commoditrains", a concept developed by the C&NW in the 1970s. This train is typical with a single SD45 and a short handful of former ore jennies. The crew would make a turn to Chicago and back.
