| On the last day of harvesting for Kalamia Mills 2020 crush, Strathlabyn hauls in the last rake from the Burdekin River bound for the mill. The mill will then crush the remaining full bins overnight and finish crushing in the mid to late morning. Afterwards the remaining sugar content left in the Process Stage will be turned into Raw sugar over 48 hours. Then the mill fully shuts down and the washdown process begins. The final raw sugar train should be on Saturday the 21st of November. |
