After a rainy and cold day in the high desert country of Arizona, the sun breaks out briefly late in the afternoon, illuminating the scene in golden light, as the Arizona Eastern Railway South Siding to Clifton train works upgrade toward Tunnel 6 south of Clifton on October 26, 2020. The job is doubling the hill because of heavy tonnage and wet rails, and is making its third trip up to the top of the grade at South Siding, including a morning run to Clifton to pick up cars left by Freeport McMoRan’s industrial railroad over the weekend.
