Alaska Railroad Alco MRS1 1601 works the roads yard in Anchorage in the summer of 1980. At the time there were several of these former US military units running. there low clearance profile is clear when you see the crewman on the pilot. Alco Built 83 of these units for the US army from March to October 1953
