| The UP Oskaloosa Local out of Marshalltown passes a farmstead on the southside of Gilman. The local departed Marshalltown with 3 cars for Grinnell and 4 potash for Cargill AG Horizons near New Sharon, and will come back with 2 cars from Grinnell. This is ex-M&St.L trackage between Marshalltown and Albia. Talking to the farmer here, he commented how the trains go by way faster now and come back sooner. Guess the UP has changed the way they do these locals on this branch back in early 2020? |
