Snow For Santa. New York & Lake Erie RR Train Rides operated 4 "Santra Express" trips from Gowanda, New York to Dayton, New York using NY&LE MLWs FPA4 6764 (ex-VIA 6764) and FPA2 6758 (ex-VIA 6758, neé-CN 6755) on Saturday, December 5, 2020. In a departure from the normal procedure, the engines were moved to the north end of the train at the switch to the former Erie Railroad branch between Dayton and Salamanca. Presently, this branch has tracks in place to north of Cattaraugus, though has been damaged by floods and landslides and is not operational. The train is seen as it approaches Main Street in Dayton, New York with carloads of happy seasonal passengers.
