CP 8116 works for every inch leading heavy stacker up the grade east of Thunder Bay over the former west switch of Navilus. Navilus was one of five signalled sidings removed on the Nipigon Subdivision in 2018. Being only 5 miles east of Thunder Bay, 5 miles west of Mackenzie, in the middle of a heavy grade, and with a crossing in the middle of the siding, trains would often be heard asking to RTC to drop they’re lights and that they would rather wait in Thunder Bay for the meet as opposed to trying to lift they’re train from stop out of the siding at Navilus.
