Remarks & Notes

As a couple barges slowly continue their trips on the Des Plaines River, the L CHI105 goes about its switching work at Joliet Yard. Leading the way is B40-8W #552 in Santa Fe Warbonnet paint. Tagged, faded and showing all around signs of wear, the old veteran soldiers on in this April 4th, 2020 scene. Today, the 552 is in storage with an uncertain future.
