On a cold moody afternoon in the Taconic Hills of Columbia County, a 90 car Framingham bound Conrail freight approaches the State Line on its journey into New England. The lead SD80MAC compliments the white snow and January dark skies nicely as the fast sinking sun briefly smiles on the lead CR 4111 & 4108 through the clouds before sinking behind the hills. So glad I made time to shoot the SD80MACs on the Boston Line during their short lived four year tenure on the line which would abruptly begin to end by year 2000 after the CSXT takeover.
