Montana Rail Link’s Helena switch sprints across the Missouri River as it departs Townsend, Montana, on July 3, 2018. During 2017-2019, this “l(fā)ocal” out of Helena switched the cement plant and RY Timber at Townsend. On this day, it is powered by MRL No. 262, a rebuilt SD40 labeled a SD40-2XR, and venerable GP9 No. 109.
