Today marked the end of an era for the North County Transit District's Coaster service, as their last operating MK built F40 made its final run in revenue service. Displaced by Chargers, the entire F40 fleet is slated to be donated to the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum, though they will be made inoperable prior to that move. Class unit 2101 leads train 655 on what ended up being the final daylight run of a Coaster F40. It made one final trip to San Diego after dark, before returning to Stuart Mesa to be taken out of service. The train is seen exiting Torrey Pines and coming onto the Del Mar Bluffs with the first commuter run of the PM rush out of San Diego.
