At the top of Newport Hill in Newport Center, Vermont, the CP fan trip passenger train led by E8 1800 took the siding at a location referred to as Magowan in the CP's Eastern Region timetable. My father photographed the passing of a CP westbound led by RS18 8778 followed by an FB and two RS10s. This became one of our all-time favorite spots from our many trips to the CP in Vermont in the 1980s. R. T. Steinbrenner Photo
