| Helper service on the Semmeringbahn mountain line in Austria: ?BB 1144 245 and 062 (notice the sub-series difference in roof corner cooler height) passed me an hour earlier as the lead and second of three units on a freight train, now they return to Gloggnitz at the bottom of the ramp to help the next freight train. This location, overlooking Klamm and its castle, is called "Blauer Blick" (Blue View), and was popular with photographers & painters in the steam era. |
