| The locomotive shop at the Boris Luis Santa Coloma Sugar Mill when several steam locomotives were still in regular service in 1996. Seen here is Vulcan Mogul #1606 built in 1920. With minimal tools, parts and equipment, the mill mechanics managed to keep their aged fleet rolling into the 21st century. Here, a new tyre is being fitted onto an axle of #1606. |
