Ten months, almost to the day, after the Union Pacific officially took over ownership if the mighty Southern Pacific, a trio of still-unrenumbered AC4400CWs, among the last locomotives purchased by the SP, were assigned to Union Pacific manifest train UP 1-WCLN-L-01. Eventually, SP 139 would be renumbered UP 6419, then UP 6187 and eventually UP 6168 – and acquiring an Armor Yellow and Harbor Mist Gray paint job as well. (Montclair, California – July 1, 1997)
