On October 24, 1992, the Soo Line’s abandoned, former Milwaukee Road yard at Savanna, Illinois, is still populated by a large assortment of Soo and Milwaukee cars awaiting a date with the cutting torch, or perhaps a lucky retrieval out of the west end of the foliage-covered tracks buried from visibility in the yard with no future.
