Metrolink’s Track 1 is being replaced through the station in Tustin, necessitating northbound trains – such as train 802, heading north from Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo to San Bernardino – to use Track 2, normally reserved for southbound trains. The diverging clear signal (red over green) shows the engineer that he needs to operate at a reduced speed once underway again in order to cross over at CP Aliso, the set of crossovers under the overpass.
