| "LIRR Main Line Dinky?"
Long Island Rail Road & Kawasaki Heavy Industry's M9 Test Train rounds the curve at Forest Hills while making one of several back and forth trips within the "City Zone" area of the Main Line.
The train consists of 3 pairs (6 cars) with 2 of the pairs sitting out while one of the newest pairs is put through several "burn in" tests between Harold Interlocking in Woodside and Jay Interlocking in Jamaica. This is one of the few instances where one can see a two car electric Long Island Rail Road train operating outside yard territory. |
