The valve gear of Ventura County Railway No. 2, a now 99-year-old 2-6-2 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1922, enjoys a brief rest between runs as a Pacific Electric trolley, No. 717, takes its turn to run out onto the Southern California Railway Museum's mainline.
