If I remember correctly, in 1987 there was a single daily KC-Salina scheduled train on UP's Kansas Pacific. West of Salina to Denver, there was just a tri-weekly freight. That is why this train is sitting on the main with blue flags all around. Great power on this day, with SD40-2s from UP, MP and MKT.
